Keona Thompson, FNP-C

Keona Thompson, FNP-C, joins Family Practice Associates as a board-certified Family Nurse
Practitioner. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Chamberlain University in
Illinois. Keona acquired valued knowledge as a registered nurse for over 10 years.
Keona’s previous experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner was in the greater Richmond area
working for a Federally Qualified Health Center. This experience was not only a way to help an
underserved community; she found it very rewarding to be able to empower her patients with a
better understanding of their health and personal well-being.
Keona enjoys an integrated approach to care, she wants to address all aspects of a patient’s
being, including emotional, mental, social, and physical needs.
In her personal time, Keona enjoys spending time with her family, music, travel, and decorating.
